Hi Steve,
I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. I am a little new to this network, but I am excited to be meeting so many new, and positive minded people!

I have been fortunate enough to have obtained a very valuable piece of information, and now I want to share it with you...

(Do not tell your clerk at the laundromat when dropping your clothes off, that they "look like they've gained some weight over the holidays"... you may have a surprise coming)

Just kidding.... I guess I'm a dry humor kind of guy ;) Anyway...

The real piece of valuable information is usually sold at 27$, and has been helping me to expand my business online, Pretty Darn Quick! There is over 80 ways you can market your business in this ebook!

I am offering it to you for free, consider it my gift to you for being a part of this network. And please remember to add me as a friend.

Here is the special link for you to get your free download...

Enjoy my friend!
Feel free to stop by anytime, and

Do Small Businesses Need Systems Too?

Being an owner/manager can be tough on personal life - in fact there doesn't seem to be a "personal life". The 24X7 effort needed to win new business, deliver to clients, and keep the books straight, is all consuming.

Trying to describe how this feels is hard - it's multi-dimensional - so we'll unashamedly borrow from Chris Brogan's excellent paper Personal Branding for the Business Professional.

"Inside my head Iʼm the CEO, project manager, and administrative assistant to my own
private compa… Continue

Web 2.0 for Dummies

Web 2.0 for Dummies
Everybody comes across the situation where they find themselves listening to somebody else's shorthand, and don't understand a word of it. Insiders develop the use of TLAs, nicknames, etc. to create a shorthand which they can all translate. When they talk to Outsiders this shorthand can creep into the conversation, but the Outsider can't do the translation, and it gets very frustrating. Communication breaks down. Sales people are often guilty of this, probably just repeating… Continue

Move Up To The Cloud

Did you ever?

Did you ever lose your laptop? If you did, was there a back up copy of your applications and data you could recover from?

Did you PC ever get infected by a trojan, and need to format and rebuild your disk?

Did you ever find your PC working so slowly you needed to do the same things?

If you did, how did you back and recover your Outlook data?

Most people, the author included, aren't very good at making security copies of their computer disk. That's why we're seeing an explosion… Continue

Apple, Google Search and the 4 Way Stop

Three weeks in Chicago can be an uplifting experience for an Englishman normally resident in Scotland. The windy city seems to be the true center of innovation. Forget Silicon Valley or Redmond. In Chicago they find new ways of making money every day.

What does Chicago have to do with the title? Not much really except Apple, Google Search and the 4 Way Stop are wonderful examples of the innovation that's driven by competition, and in Chicago competition is a way of life.

Visiting the Apple sto… Continue

Is Less Always More?

Is Less Always More?

It is if you want better software,to achieve more business benefit, for less cost.

Originally the phrase was attributed to Mies Van Der Rohe, otherwise known as the man who built Chicago. Recently the concept has been picked up by a number of new software companies, most notably but not solely, 37 signals, and Front Office Box, of course.

In software terms, less complexity is more value, access and adoption for the users.
Every time we add a "feature" we add complexity, f… Continue
